Largest Gathering of Pirates

A Pirate Hat or Bandana, Pirate style Trousers or Skirt, Shirt and an accessory along the lines of a Sword, Hook, Eye Patch, Pistol, Flag or Parrot and YOU qualify to become a Record Breaker on Sunday 22nd July when Hastings once again attempts to create Pirate History.

World Record attempt, Sword Fighting, Stunt action, Cannons, Muskets, Live Pirate music, Hog Roasts, Real Pirate Ale, Pirate Market, Jugglers, Fiddlers. Pirate Dance, Massed Pirate Drums, A Pirate Wedding, Creation of wonderful giant Pirate portrait throughout day and a truly spectacular finale when the SKY TURNS RED but the most spectacular element of the day ………YOU !!!

Jerwood Gallery Hastings

The Jerwood Gallery Hastings opened its doors for the first time on March 17th 2012 bringing a fantastic new attraction to the Stade in Hastings.

The striking building occupies a strategic position on the Stade in the heart of Hastings Old Town. The gloss black tiles of the exterior reflecting and mirroring its historic surroundings.

The Jerwood Gallery is an exciting project to create a permanent home for the Jerwood Collection, and a new regional venue for the Jerwood Visual Arts programme on the Stade in Hastings. Developed and fully funded by the Jerwood Foundation , the ambition is to create a major new cultural venue with regional and national importance, contribute to the regeneration of Hastings, and build fruitful partnerships with local organisations.
